Top Affiliate Marketing Blogs!

best affiliate marketing blogs image

Since moving to Thailand to concentrate on my affiliate marketing empire I have been somewhat sidetracked by all the fun stuff you can do whilst in a foreign country. ALL the good intentions of long working days and endless affiliate marketing tasks have long since disappeared, leaving me with little else to do in my spare time but read (and find) some new entertaining yet mildly useful internet marketing blogs.

I’ve not always been a blog reader, but I have always kept up to date with a number of great UK blogs on the marketing subject. I gave up on US blogs sometime in early 2000 when I had a realization that what I was reading was nothing but self promoting shi***. The UK bloggers appeared to write about more interesting, and certainly more useful stuff than any of the US blogs could compete with – and they all offered their insights for free. However, since outsourcing about 80% of my business I have had time on my hands, and ventured once more onto the Dark Side. It appears times have changed and at least it seems, so have the blogs.

DL Blog Suicide

It is probably never a good idea to introduce your blog readers to better thought out and more interesting blogs, a bit like introducing your fiancé to a better looking, more fun and more successful person than yourself (I would imagine), but I have made a decision to do just that…..I only ask one favour!

Please sign up to our RSS feed before you disappear forever?

In truth these guys appear to dedicate themselves to a very different methodology than we usually focus on while writing for DL, but saying that – their blogs have this aura of fun and the writers don’t appear to take themselves too seriously – some of their articles are a great respite from the usual overly serious posts found in so many places across the web. Who would have thought affiliate marketing could be so fun?

Ill try and offer some insight into the people behind the recommendations; but if I am totally 100% honest I know very little about them – which may be why I find their writing somewhat enjoyable to read.

Mr Green

Mr Lorenzo Green keeps a lot of information pertaining to who he is, what he does, and how well he does it close to his chest. He has no obvious “about me” where those who don’t already know him can obtain a little more insight – he instead opts for a short paragraph listing his various online projects. Don’t get me wrong, he knows what he is talking about. I think perhaps we are already supposed to know him from various affiliate networking events, but as a UK affiliate myself who concentrates solely on UK offers from UK networks this is unfortunately lost on me.

Mr Greens blog is none the less a great and interesting blog that is exceptionally well written. The content commands your utter most attention more often than not, and although I admit to knowing little about the methods he discusses, I enjoy reading and looking for whatever information he offers that may educate me (even a little) in these methods. He is actually from New Zealand, and is currently living in the Maldives, but the methods (and networks) appear to stem from an altogether more American philosophy. As a UK affiliate myself, I am sure there is a lot to learn here.

PPC.bz

Now for the funniest blog on the subject of affiliate marketing in existence ever! I really wish I could give you some further information on this one, but trust me you don’t need it. Just read some of the really funny stuff this madman writes about.

Finch Sells

Rarely in the affiliate marketing world do you get principles, but Finch has them in abundance. Finch tells it like it is. Nobody gets rich in this game without putting in the necessary ground work, and he is not going to waste time speaking to those that don’t get this basic yet often forgotten “first principle”.

At only 23 Finch appears to be destined for great things. He has moved to Thailand (a month before me) and is currently working on a beach somewhere with his better half in toe (as do I). He is also from the UK – I’m hoping that we can get him for an as yet unconfirmed future podcast that may or may not be in the pipeline.

His writing is humorous to say the least. In fact PPC.BZ calls him the “Funniest writer out there (besides me)”

Finch is interesting, and as with many of the affiliates discussed in this article appears to use a great deal of PPV advertising.

Justin Dupre

Admittedly this may be a blog that floats my own boat more so than others, but it is exceptionally popular and offers some amazing content for anyone looking to learn the mystical techniques discussed by virtually all the blogs mentioned above and below. Justin also lives in Thailand and has done for a number of years (not bad for a guy born in 1988) which is how I first stumbled upon his blog. I was already planning moving my life to Thailand using my affiliate marketing earnings but Justin sealed the deal.

In addition to some really great content, he offers a number of extras that can be purchased through his blog. These include a paid forum (always better than free ones), and landing pages available for purchase.

Why Thailand?

AffBuzz.com

Now this is not a blog as such, but an aggregator. You will find all the blogs mentioned above as well as some other better known & less well known blogs. This is really a one stop shop for all things affiliate blogging – however be warned: many of the blogs cover the same topics.

We are hoping to eventually get onto AffBuzz.com as we believe we cover some topics that are not catered for presently. Shameless plug!

I hope I have given you food for thought! DO NOT READ BLOGS if you plan to actually MAKE MONEY ONLINE…unless it is in your spare time…which this was…cough cough!

  1. Hello. Your contact form doesn’t work. I would like to speak with you about advertisement at your blog, please contact me back.

  2. Hey, you forgot my blog! ;-)

How are things going in Thailand?

Did you have a good Songkran. There is quite a few AMers out here now.

    • Hi Joe,

Songkran was something else! Total madness & amazing fun! Where are you currently based?

Yeah there seems to be quite a few Affiliates here now. We are hoping to do some podcast interviews with a couple when we get back from Vietnam (going next week). Would you be up for an interview?

  3. Yeah Songkran needs to be seen to be believed.

We are still in Bangkok, where about’s are you?

Maybe an interview in the future when I’m bringing in something a bit more respectable than I am now!

There is actually a group that meets in Bangkok that might be of interest, I’ve not been myself yet:

Have a good time in Vietnam!

    • We are in Chiang Mai at the moment but will probably be looking for a beach when we get back to Thailand.
Your March was pretty reasonable, and I’m pretty sure their are a lot of people out there that would be interested in hearing how you have got there. I’ll contact you when we are actually going to record them & hopefully you will be interested.

  4. Nice, I love Chiang Mai, would be happy to live there if we didn’t have work in Bangkok.

Ok, put me at the back of the list and hopefully by then I will be making some decent baht.

  5. Thanks for the shout out Sam!

Haha I like to keep a bit of mystery.

I’m glad you enjoy the blog. My business partner is a self proclaimed hermit from some a small city (that he likes to call Chavland) in UK, so unfortunately I’m not getting too much from him philosophy wise.

    Btw sick avatar.
